Toro Ke Bophelo was established in 1998 although it was registered in 2008, it is a company of young adults who met many years ago when we were building "Goud koppie" which is a place which resembles love heritage and culture of South Africa, especially ancient life when people used to live in mud houses, cooking outside with three feet pots and drank home brewed beer.

This is a place where people experienced true spirit and sense of Africaness. It is a place where people were interested in arts and culture come and witness, and also showcase their cultural skills and passion.

We have been travelling around Klerksdorp, Orkney, Stilfontein and Hartebeesfontein areas ever since our establishment in search of a place where we could build our own "Toro Ke Bophelo" whick will be like our own "Grondkoppie" for our community. We have finally found a site of our own and turned it into our Cultural Village, Toro Ke Bophelo.

The area is still in its preliminary stages of development, and so far we have circulated quite a number of funding proposals so as to realise our goal of completing the Cultural Village project.

The area is situated in the Jouberton Location in extention 24.
